Before submitting your request please take the time to read and understand that Siberian Huskies ...

  • ... can live to be over 15 years old, are you willing to make that kind of commitment?
  • ... are high energy dogs that need activity on a regular basis, can you keep up?
  • ... are highly intelligent with an independent spirit, patience is a must when training.
  • ... shed their undercoat twice a year, will it bother you if there is fur on your sofa?
  • ... find ways to amuse themselves when left unsupervised, be prepared for holes in the lawn, etc.
  • ... think nothing of a 4 foot fence, either by going over or digging under, are you properly equipped?
  • ... can be escape artists. If you think your fortifications are good enough, they probably aren't.
  • ... need lots of shade and water in the summer, they appreciate air conditioning if you can provide it.
  • ... can live happily outside in the winter if provided with a shelter that offers protection from the wind.
  • ... do not typically bark but are known to partake in howling sessions, will your neighbors like this?
  • ... are not guard dogs, they are more likely to welcome visitors than to protect your home.
  • ... like to run, and can't always be depended on to return when called. You will need a leash.
  • ... should not be allowed to run loose, as they are full of wanderlust and they can run faster than you.
  • ... have a well developed prey instinct and may need help getting along with cats and small animals.
  • ... will teach you something new everyday, even when you think you have it all figured out.

I have read and understand the above.
